【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardestablishesvaluesforsafelydistancestopreventaccessanddistancestoimpedefreeaccessbythelowerlimbsofpersonsof14yearsofageandabove.Thevaluesarebasedonpracticalexperiencewhichhasbeenfoundtobeadequateforthisgroupofpersons.Thedistancesapplywhenadequatesafetycanbeachievedbydistancealoneandwhenaccessbytheupperlimbsisnotforeseeableaccordingtotheriskassessment.NOTE.Thesedistanceswillnotprovidesufficientprotectionagainstcertainhazards,forexampleradiationandemissionofsubstances.Forsuchhazardsadditionalorothermeasurescanbenecessary.Thesafetydistancestopreventaccessrelatetoopeningsandprotectthosepersonstryingtoreachdangerzonesundertheconditionsspecifiedforthedifferentreachingsituations.Sometimesareasonablyforeseeableapproachtodangerzonescanoccurwhilepersonstrytouseafoottocleanoutdischargeand/orfeedopeningsoroperatepedestriancontrolledmachinery.Thedistancestoimpedefreeaccessrelatetotheheightuptotheprotectivestructureandreducerisktopersonsbylimitingthefreemovementofthelowerlimbs.Ifpersonsbelow14yearsofagearetobetakenintoaccountitisnotrelevanttoestablishvaluesotherthanthoseforupperlimbs.Thenthesafetydistancestopreventdangerzonesbeingreachedbytheupperlimbsderivedfromtable5ofEN294:1992willapply.Forcertainapplicationstherearejustifiablereasonstodeviatefromthesedistances.Standardsdealingwiththeseapplicationsshouldindicatehowadequatesafetycanbeachieved.
