【摘要】:CWApresentsanApplicationProgrammerInterface(API)forqueryinglearningobjectrepositories.ThecoreisanabstractAPI;bindingstowebservices,JavaandPHPhavealsobeendeveloped.Sinceonemajordesignobjectiveistokeepthespecificationsimpleandeasytoimplement,theinterfaceislabelledSimpleQueryInterface(SQI).InthecontextofthisCWA,learningobjectrepositoriesaredefinedascollectionsofeducationalmaterial,courses,andlearningobjectswithassociateddescriptions(referredtoas"metadata").Examplesofrepositoriesforlearningareeducationalbrokers,knowledgepools,streamingvideoservers,etc.ThedecisionforthisworkitemwastakenbytheLearningTechnologiesWorkshopatthe14thmeetingonMarch24/25,2003.WorkontheCWAactuallystartedatthe17thmeetinginApril2003.Thedocumenthasbeendevelopedthroughthecollaborationofanumberofcontributingpartners,representingawidemixofinterests,fromuniversitiestocommercialcompanies.ThenamesoftheindividualsandtheiraffiliationsthathaveexpressedsupportforthisCWAisavailableattheCEN/ISSSSecretariat.AlistofcontributorsisattheendofthisForeword
